Hi Tom!

I already mentioned this bug appeared familiar to me. Now I have consulted nomina nearctica, telling me that there are but two species in your fauna, both occuring in Europe also.

Consulting a key, the species is certainly Stygnocoris sabulosus - the second species (rusticus) is not shiny and black.

to me it looks like a member of Stygnocoris - I´d be sure of it if it was from Europe (but genus is present in N-Am.).
