Unknown Insect Sign - Dahlica triquetrella

Unknown Insect Sign - Dahlica triquetrella
Copper Harbor/Brockway Mountain, Keweenaw County, Michigan, USA
May 26, 2013
I saw this on the outside of a building at 10:00 a.m. It looks like something an insect made to hide or pupate in.
I also saw a Zebra Jumpimg Spider near the same spot carrying one of these at its end. Some of these were in the
shape of curly cues and some had openings at the end as if they had been exited. This was at a gift shop at the
top of Brockway Mountain. It is known for its spring hawk migration and consequently it's quite windy. Only
grass grows near the building. It is located in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Lake Superior.

Snailcase bagworm?
Are all three of these different specimens?

Unknown Insect Sign
Yes, they are all different specimens but near each other.
Thanks Arlo. --Lynn Murphy
