Size: 2 to 3 inches
Not the best photo to show field marks, but I can see the small "horn" on the tail with orange basal spots and orange markings about the head. 2012 NABA field trip, south of Sierra Vista. BAMONA tells me it is unidentifiable.

This is a new species for BugGuide, very nice! I'll see if I can try and get this verified for you over at BAMONA because this is most certainly P. vega.

I will make a guide page for this species later tonight...

It is a Vega Sphinx, a nice find! They are not very common.
A nice looking cat as well.
