Yes - Eristalis arbustorum
Yes - definitely something in
Eristalis
(Syrphidae).
(on a second look, John is correct - it's
Eristalis arbustorum
; the broadly yellow middle tibia and yellowish middle leg basal tarsomeres distinguish it from
E. brousii
