Several years ago my next door neighbor, R Healy, mycologist, was actively working on Iowa fungi. (She's still actively working however she is now a post-doc at Harvard.)
Fall 2007 she was sent a Bolete fungi from Pella, Iowa.
June 11, 2008 there was a mass emergence of small moths in her lab. I walked over to see and collect.
Lots going on, in, on and around the fungi. Two adults were mating, and later, there were larvae.
T. Harrison ID'd the moths to family
These are some photos of the batch.
