Common Wood Nymph - Cercyonis pegala - Male
Cox Arboretum, Montgomery County, Ohio, USA

I know this is a Common Wood Nymph, a friendly one at that who hiked around with me for about 15 minutes.
The reason I posted here instead of to species page, I was curious about their antenna.
Sometimes they are bright orange tips, others are the pale brown. Does this mean anything?

Fantastic image, Jeff! Sharp with all the necessary DOF.

Jeff, Thank you for one of the most beautiful images of a Common Wood Nymph we have on BugGuide.

Nice shot Jeff!
