Enallagma recurvatum- Pine Barrens Bluet - Enallagma recurvatum - Male
Stafford Township- New Jersey Pinelands, Ocean County, New Jersey, USA
May 23, 2013
I believe that this specimen is a male Pine Barrens bluet, due to the lateral mark on the eighth segment.
This bluet is dappled in pollen and is infested with water mites.
Photographed on Smilax rotundifolia- Common Greenbrier, several hundred feet away from a freshwater pond and bog system.
