On Desert Milkweed, Asclepias subulata. Originally misidentified as Lygaeus kalmii. See comments for correction on this ID.

Update.
Dr. Jane O'Donnell says this might not be L. kalmii. She will try and get back to the image eventually with a more positive ID.
