Chlaenius impunctifrons - Wisconsin River at HWY 130 - found under shoreline debris, Sauk County, Wisconsin, USA August 15, 2013 Size: about 15mm
I believe this specimen to be Chlaenius impunctifrons.
I keyed it out using the Bell monograph, and double checked it using Bousquet 2010.
Key traits include 3rd antennal segment not elongate, tip of prosternum lacking a margin, pronotum not sinuate basally, legs reddish, head lacking dorsal setae, pronotum flattened laterally.
I noticed no examples from Wisconsin were yet on the guide so I thought I would add it.
