Phidippus regius - female

Phidippus regius - Female
Levy County, Florida, USA
November 24, 2006
An early instar regius such as this one could be mistaken for an audax.
An easy way to distinguish is by the orange band on the OQ.
Audax lack markings on the OQ, but bands may be present on the thoracic slope of the carapace.
