Solenopsis invicta

Solenopsis invicta
Victoria, Victoria County, Texas, USA
February 18, 2014
The ants build a nest at a base of a cactus.
I have impression that this ants have a preference to build the nest on cactus, if it is a cactus in the area. Indifferently if the cactus is planted in a pot or in the ground. But it could be just an impression.
I added a picture of the plant, but I think it's not necessary, so I will frass it in few days.
