Dicerca lurida
I believe that this one is Dicerca lurida. This species does have extended elytra tips but not as long as many in this genus. Great photos Edward.

First guess, but wait for specialists opinion
Hi Edward,
general appearance and size make me think of genus Dicerca - but: The specimen does not have tail-like tips of the elytra (the safe character for that genus). I do not know, whether similar genera occur in North America.
