Branch-and-Twig Borer - Apatides fortis

Branch-and-Twig Borer - Apatides fortis
Furnace Creek, Death Valley, Inyo County, California, USA
September 15, 2013
Size: 20mm long
Found near the bathroom light at the campground. With what little sources I have for identification, a Branch-and-Twig Borer is the closest I could get, if that is even right. As unique as it looks, you would think it would be easier.

Thank you
It means a lot more to me when I have a name to put with a specimen or picture.
