Size: 12 mm
I believe this specimen is Chlaenius tricolor vigilans given the location of collection.

Key traits include normal length antennal segment #3, short mandibles, distinct marginal rim on the prosternum, and a densely, coarsely punctate proepisternum.

This subspecies is not yet in the guide, and the species is not yet in the guide from the western U.S.
