Size: 19 mm straightened
Came into the house with firewood. Firewood is mostly from Winneshiek County location but a bit is from Story County

Yes, this it the sweet lymexlylid, Melittomma sericeum (Harris)- sometimes known as the chestnut timberworm. As the common name might imply, it was once associated with American chestnut - now it is typically found in oaks.
