Insect Sign ? - Coleophora
Houghton, Houghton County, Michigan, USA

I found this on a Thimbleberry leaf at about 12:30 p.m. It looks like some kind of insect sign. The habitat was a second-
growth hardwood forest with some open areas and a large wetland which had two large beaver lodges in it. There were a few
old homesteads nearby. The location is in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Lake Superior. Would anyone know
what this is? Thank you.

Moved from Insects.

Looks like one of the Pistol Casemakers

Thanks for the identification Ken. Lynn Murphy
