Trichiotinus piger? - Trichiotinus piger
Konza Biological Research Station, near Manhattan, Riley County, Kansas, USA
July 8, 2010
Based on the distribution map on BG...3 possible species in Kansas. They do seem quite different in appearance, to my untrained eye. Would it be safe to call this one piger? On a thistle in a spectacular tallgrass prairie.
