Rove beetle (?) in early spring - Reticulitermes

Rove beetle (?) in early spring - Reticulitermes
Española, Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, USA
March 2, 2014
Size: 6-7 mm?
Fast-moving, but not a good climber—the wall of the ceramic bowl it was in was quite a bit short of vertical.

This is a rove beetle, right? An adult? And do its legs really have that yellow color, or did it get something on them?

Thanks
for the ID and the move. In fact, everything was solved without any particular unhappiness for me, the landlord, or the termites.

That's nice to hear

Thanks for the correction.
I suppose all those "flying ants" I saw today were these too. I'm not happy, and my landlord won't be either.
