great purple hair streak - Atlides halesus - Male

Size: 1.5 inches
Hill toping on windy cool partially cloudy day. Male's have the blue bottom side line between wings. have seen one that seemed to have rubbed the blue scales off. it could have been a female but it was hill toping for several days. chasing other males away. The frontal face view always reminds me of mickey mouse.

plant that gph is on
The plant is coyote bush, at this location. at another location that i see them hill toping they sit on lemon aid berry.
