I've got a Cycloneda larval key(1) now, and this is definitely C. polita - one heck of a specimen, too! Gorgeous, and diagnostic, color and pattern. It has white on the sides of the 6th and 7th abdominal segments, which separates it from the other two Cycloneda species in North America.
