Size: about 8 mm
The gall looks like a little peach. It was on the ground near Quercus bicolor,and was first observed on 9/24. The animal hatched out on 10/18.

Did you save the wasp? I think this could be either Philonix nigra or P. lanaeglobuli, and you would need to have a specialist examine the adult to figure out which.
