and please please look at our
Carpophilus
inventory, unsorted and otherwise; i know they may be very tough w/o specimens in hand, but any comments narrowing the options down are precious to us.
i'm very fond of this genus but have very limited, if any, experience with the rich nearctic fauna

I'd be happy to, you are correct of the limits without specimens but I can definitely give an opinion on most of the images.
