We thought we could figure out which one
we had by looking at Illinois on BugGuide but there aren't any posted for Illinois, and there are a ton of them -- iowensis, indianensis -- maybe we have illinoensis!! :)

 
i thought so, too: the body is pretty oblong for a Scymnus
...so it may turn out to be something else; neat beast
