While Blaniulus appears more to be northerly, perhaps something in that neighborhood. Any ideas?

Rowland Shelley commented, I sent your photos around, and the consensus is that it is a representative of the family Blaniulidae, order Julida. If it has short dorsal setae, it is surely the introduced European species Nopoiulus kochii (Gervais, 1847); if it does not have dorsal setae, it would be the endemic eastern US species, Virgoiulus minutus (Brandt, 1833). Best I or anyone can do without actually seeing the specimen(s).
