Family Attelabidae: Attelabus nigripes ? -
Homoeolabus analis
Naples , Collier County, Florida, USA
March 22, 2014
This beetle landed on my hat sometime while I was in an oak-rosemary scrub. I suspect it is Attelabus nigripes, but I'd like confirmation.

femoral spine(s)?
I'm curious about the apparent lack of spines on the femora. Or would bump be invisible in this view for females? Anyway, just wondering how
Homoeolabus analis
can be ruled out given that it was found in area with a lot of oaks. I've looked at a few keys to genera of family and I can't seem to find a way to easily distinguish the females of the two species. There's probably some other characteristic I'm missing. Thanks.
