Size: about 1.85 mm
Found by sifting samples of hand-shredded moss from a wooded area. This insect is obviously flightless yet has substantial wing flaps.

Psocoptera
On a hunch I checked out Psocoptera and found a home for this insect. Tom Murray has an image of a juvenile at practically the same stage as this one.
