Callidium texanum Schaeffer - Callidium texanum
Frisco, Denton County, Texas, USA
March 31, 2014
Size: ~11 mm
Det. M. A. Quinn, 2014

Collected from Italian cypress - Cupressus sempervirens (Cupressaceae) displaying dieback, browning leaves. III-31-2014. Approx 11 mm-long. Frisco, Denton Co., TX.
Upper ten feet of cypress were dead, only bottom two feet live. Couldn't find any cankers or exit holes on tree, but did find about five of these beetles on plant.
