Remarks
Eastern C. hilaris can be differentiated from C. marginata based on antennal color (bands black and yellow/white in C. hilaris vs black and green in C. marginata) but many western C. hilaris exhibit coloration more consistent with C. marginata. Genetic divergence suggest presence of a cryptic species(7). It is unclear whether these populations represent subspecies or cryptic species. Users are encouraged to post more photos of C. hilaris genitalia.
