Red and black beetle - Semanotus ligneus
Fullerton cemetery, Nance County, Nebraska, USA
April 6, 2014
Size: approx. 14 mm
There were several of these beetles on a freshly cut red cedar stump (Juniperus virginiana). Any help with ID appreciated.
