In the lampyridae family? Thanks for your help!

Moved from Trirhabda.

A review of the extensive nearctic collection records for Trirhabda in Hogue [1970] (i.e. hundreds for almost every species!) indicates that T. bacharidis is the only Trirhabda species that occurs with certainty in Florida. (Each of the species T. canadensis, T. virgata, T. nitidicollis and T. diducta has a single incongruous record in Hogue, which were presumably misidentifications or perhaps waifs. The first two of those four species have a predominantly northern range, and the last two a western range.)

Beyond range considerations...the long, abruptly-tapered, yellow medial stripe on each elytron further distinguishes the species here.
