Salticid - Marpissa formosa - female

Salticid - Marpissa formosa - Female
Baton Rouge, near BlueBonnet Swamp, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, USA
January 29, 2006
Size: body length 6.3 mm.
We believe this is an adult female Thiodina sylvana. It is darker than other images on BugGuide and elsewhere, but the date of capture suggests that it is an old individual which often results in darkening of other species.

Marpissa formosa?
Having looked a bit at Barnes (1958) today, I'm wondering if there is any reason not to peg this specimen as Marpissa formosa? It appears to match his description to a 'T'.
