Size: 5-6 mm.
A rather large mite that I've never seen before.

Large?
Please include an estimate of size in millimeters.

Also, this is quite unusual looking. Are you capable of sending specimens? If so, I can pay for shipping and offer a confident ID. It's likely that this represents a new species.
