Matheteus theveneti ? - Matheteus theveneti
Fort Bragg, Mendocino County, California, USA

This beetle was on a metal stairway railing. A biologist here thinks it's a Red Beetle- Matheteus theveneti. It looks like it from the photos I've found here and on-line. Curious to know more about whatever species it is.
