Deane, Letcher County, Kentucky, USA
April 14, 2014
Size: 3.5mm
Found in mossy grass. While looking for another beetle I saw land. Will try to get vertical image, it is two toned.

Ptomaphagus ulkei Horn, male
Moved from Ptomaphagus. ID'd from specimen, now a photo-voucher. Thanks Lisa!

Large size (3.5 mm) as well as the shape of mesosternal notch, aedeagus, and genital plates were used for ID. An uncommon species, nice find!

Thank you
Very much.

Moved from Beetles.

Moved from True Bugs.

I don't know why I put it there, Thanks!
