Size: 8.5mm
Genus Steremnius (Curculionidae)? Browsing the Guide, that genus seems very close, at least. This one found in the daytime under a piece of plywood in the yard. Douglas Fir and Bigleaf Maple are the primary trees right next to where I found it.

I still have it, in case there's any details anyone needs/wants to see. I don't keep an insect collection (only spiders) so, if anyone wants it, let me know. I'd be happy to mail it out.

I almost titled these "wee=v=ils" because I was hoping you'd see them. =) I have a lot stuff from the past to post too, but decided to post a few recent ones first.

Blaine, does that mean this one should be mailed to you? I have some spider eggs to mail today anyways (p.o. open till 2pm here), so I could actually mail it out today if you're interested?

aha, I misread
I thought that sounded backwards! But I should've remembered Blaine is the elaterid guy. (I originally took it to mean something like "beetles, except for elaterids, go to me," haha)
