Flew in my Granddaughters hair.

ID confirmed...
by examination of voucher specimen.

Moved tentatively
Moved from Click Beetles.

 
C. tarsalis looks good
There is a sibling species, C. dorothyae, in the same geographic area but it has a shorter (in relation to width) pronotum and more arcuate base to the pronotum. The pronotal punctures are different too, but they cannot be easily visualized in these images.
