Mud wasp nests? - Sceliphron caementarium

Size: Each nest is about 2 cm

These were built under the roof to a porch, so in a sheltered location. I have seen them both vertical and horizontal. they are about 10 x 25 mm long.

I don't remember seeing a wasp with such a thin waist, but I will look this summer. Are there several eggs in each long mud 'sausage' or just one? Amazing about the spider thing, that they live with spiders. The place where this is has a lot of spiders in the summer.
