Tiny Mystery Beetle - Thylodrias contractus

Tiny Mystery Beetle - Thylodrias contractus
Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, USA
April 25, 2014
Size: less than 3mm long
This tiny beetle was sitting on an envelope at my desk when I got to work. It seemed like it was teetering and not in good health, but maybe it was teetering due to the fact that its legs are so long! It was so tiny I didn't even realize it was a beetle til someone else pointed it out...Thought the short elytra might provide a clue to the id but I haven't been able to come up with a match.

Moved from Beetles.

reminds me of the Odd Beetle

Wow
That certainly looks close and matches the m.o. Never would have guessed Dermestidae!
