IDed as Chrysotoxum sp. by Dr. Jeff Skevington. He thinks it is C. flavifrons but says that the characters are hard to evaluate from a photo. I followed this fly for ten minutes among low shrubs bordering a marshy area; it flew slowly but refused to perch for longer than a second, and this is the only shot that wasn't badly blurred.
