Chrysobothris, femorata? - Chrysobothris

Chrysobothris, femorata? - Chrysobothris
Wenima Wildlife Area, Apache County, Arizona, USA
April 27, 2014
Size: ~12mm
Found this beetle on a piece of bark(on this cool ~50 degree day)that was on the ground near the parking area which, I almost over looked.

Identification
Given the locality, 34.18731, -109.30448 (is that correct?), if pressed I would call this Chrysobothris femorata, but with reservations. Do you recall what kind of tree it was on, perhaps cottonwood? I have seen specimens of such critters from Arizona, but from desert and transition areas, and am uncertain of their identity.

Yes,
It was on the bark of Cottonwood, on the ground next to a couple of other Cottonwoods. I just notice your post, must have missed the e-mail. Hope this information helps.
