ID confirmed from specimen, now a photo-voucher. Thanks Tom.

Doesn't key out neatly. Goes to couplet 14 of Fluke & Hall (pallipes vs leucoparea). The latter is southeastern, so I'd expect pallipes, but pallipes males are supposed to have the scutellar pile black, where it is yellow in this individual. Both species should have the arista pubescent, but this individual has bare arista.
