Thinking Platycheirus hyperbo
Thinking Platycheirus hyperboreus, courtesy Young et al 2016's new key:

1: female -> 79
79: margin rounded, best as I can tell, it's quite recessed -> 105
105: tergites with pale spots -> 108
108: all femora yellow at base -> 110
110: yellow spots rectangular, reaching margins -> 112
112: tergite 5 with pale spots -> 114
114: as second description (T6 dark, spots on T2 reduced, legs with rings) -> 115
115: T3-5 pollinosity too strong for P. clypeus, c and bm seem bare at base

Systema Dipterorum gives this species' range as Labrador/Greenland, but Young et al 2016 has it as far south as North Carolina.

Thanks Kelsey
Bold has a number of records in the US and a photo that looks pretty close (1), seems like a good possibility.

One of the Platycheirus species - unfortunately, there are ~73 of them, so getting an ID is tricky (the latest reference, Young 2012, doesn't have an actual key, and most keys are based on male legs). Lovely shots!
