Found feeding on Possumhaw (Ilex decidua). Interesting feeding behavior - a shelter was formed from terminal leaves and a progressively longer silken path was used to traverse to mid-branch leaves. If disturbed the caterpillar quickly back up the path to the shelter and then periodically checked that the coast was clear. In the photo the silk path is being maintained.
