Red beetle - Cerotoma trifurcata

I've looked down the entire "beetle" page and the "leaf beetle" page and don't see an exact match to this. So far the closest seems to be Cerotoma trifurcata, but it's not an exact match. Would appreciate help with ID. Thanks a lot.

Bean leaf beetle
This is most certainly a bean leaf beetle, Cerotoma trifurcata, and it looks to be male. The spot pattern is highly variable and is not reliably diagnostic. However, the scuttelum is always black. Also their general coloration can vary from brown to red.

Thanks to both of you...
...for your help. Very much appreciated.

Cerotoma
I would agree with the Cerotoma trifurcata, I know they can vary greatly on their coloring, but I will wait for a beetle person to offer their opinion.

Cerotoma
Nice picture! I agree it could well be Cerotoma trifurcata. It is missing so much black markings from its normal pattern. The little black markings it has seem to be on the good spots though. The feet seem lighter too. Very interesting.
