Confused about the yellow growth on back left leg and wings? Is it a spider? A baby flying ant?

Can't do much with this image. The goo coming out of the siphunculus is a defense mechanism. It can gum up the mouth of a predator, and there are alarm pheromones to alert the rest of the colony that there is danger.
