fly - Compsilura concinnata

fly - Compsilura concinnata
Berkeley, Alameda County, California, USA
June 15, 2006
Size: approx. 6mm
This fly was a parasite of an Orgyia vetusta caterpillar that had pupated on the side of a UC Berkeley building. I collected the pupated caterpillar/fly and brought it home on 06/06/06. The fly emerged 9 days later.

Apparently I forgot to measure it ... it was on the small side; 6mm is a guess.
This fly was chilled for the photo and released.
