Sawfly - Abia aenea

Sawfly - Abia aenea
Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, USA
May 10, 2014
It appears about the size of a deer fly with similar wing markings. The copper color on the body is not captured well (the color is off due to image quality and the copper extends horizontally across body with small areas of black in between). I found this on an Aronia bush.
