Horace's or Juvenal's Duskywing - Erynnis horatius

Horace's or Juvenal's Duskywing - Erynnis horatius
The Villages, Sumter County, Florida, USA
May 11, 2014
Size: 2 in
appears to be either a Horace's or Juvenal's Duskywing. Four-spot pattern at tip of wing resembles Horace's. But other wing spots do not match Horace's shown in the Swift guide.

ID Verdict
There is no verdict as to whether this is Erynnis juvenalis or E. horatius.

Without a view of the underside of the hindwing - I, personally, don't know how to differentiate these two species from a photo.

Many Erynnis spp. are quite difficult to identify from photos.
