Harvestman? - Leiobunum

Harvestman? - Leiobunum
Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida, USA
May 13, 2014
I saw this critter beside a cross-county trail in the Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary at the University of West Florida. I think it is a harvestman (Order Opiliones); however, it seems to have only six legs. I would estimate that the body was betwen 0.5 and 1 cm, and the span of the legs was >8 cm. When it saw me, it stayed put on its leaf, faced me, and did "push-ups". Any information about its identity will be greatly appreciated!

Sorry for the inadvertent double move.

When threatened by predators, harvestmen can detach their limbs, which continue to twitch and serve as a distraction, allowing the critter to escape. It's quite common to find them with fewer (sometimes far fewer) than eight legs. :)

Thanks!
Aha! That's fascinating! Just like the way some lizards lose their tails.
