I think so. It could possibl
I think so. It could possibly be Chalcosyrphus inarmatus - unfortunately the reliable character is under the fly - but it seems likely. Both are in your area.

Edited: Aha, but! Jeff Skevington has a great image of C. inarmatus here, and it doesn't fit your fly, so this is therefore B. oarus.
